The Information Desk

Whether you’re a long-time traveler on the rails or just pulled into The Station for the first time, here are the answers to the most common questions about the Bluegrass Express.

Still have a question? Drop us a line at info@bluegrassexpress.co

Bluegrass Express is the digital creative home of Greg and Laura Dowling.

Part documentary project, part art studio, and part travel log, the Bluegrass Express documents our journey from stationary life in Connecticut to a permanent home on the road, following the music and community we love.

We’re the Crew! Greg is the Technologist and CMO (Chief Management Officer), handling the vlogs, the logs, and the tech. Laura is the Artist behind the "digital stained glass" concept as well as all the art you see throughout the site.

We’re also just two fans chasing the "collective effervescence" of the live music scene, attempting to bring a higher fidelity to the live music scene. Check out more about us and what we're all about on The Crew.

Nope! We are independent creators and fans.

We do this out of love for the music and the community. We’re just happy to be part of the family!

A Whistle Stop is what we call an individual entry in The Log (our blog). It’s a permanent record of a specific run, a new piece of art, or a milestone in our journey.

We don’t post daily—only when there’s a story worth telling.

When you Join the Manifest, you are subscribing to receive automatic notifications every time a new Whistle Stop (blog post) is published.

It’s the best way to ensure you never miss a beat of the journey.

Yes. The Manifest is specifically for blog notifications. Our Newsletter (accessible via the "Contact Us" page) is for general updates, major announcements, and exclusive reveals from The Mercantile.

Yes! You can find Laura’s work in The Mercantile.

We offer limited-run shirts, stickers, and prints. Some items are exclusive to our "on lot" vending, while others are available for shipping worldwide.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Lately, Laura has been focused primarily on music-inspired "digital stained glass", printmaking, graphite/ink, and furthering her own creative process.

However, we LOVE hearing your ideas! Reach out via the "Send Us Some Love" button on the contact page if you have a specific inquiry.

We leverage a Print-On-Demand service that allows us ship directly to you from anywhere, at any time.

Our Mercantile is powered by Shopify,  the commerce engine that processes payments for your purchases from The Mercantile. The privacy policy for Shopify and your payment provider override the Privacy and Terms of this site.

If you buy from us on lot, we will process your payment through our POS process.

It’s our current reality! We are transitioning from a stationary life to a nomadic one. Right now, that means living out of bags and Airbnbs as we work toward our permanent rolling studio.

We are currently flying/driving to shows- living out of a suitcase SUCKS! We want to get a campervan so we don’t have to do that anymore.

We are NOT raising money for a van with this website or any of our social media channels, and purchases made in The Mercantile, on lot, or income generated from content, will go directly back into the engines funding the Bluegrass Express.

If you see us in a Noovo van, this is the first van we are testing out for Laura’s birthday in March to celebrate her birthday in Moab, UT.

We hope to have a future mobile headquarters and a fully-equipped rolling studio where we can edit vlogs and create art right from the venue lot- or anywhere the tracks lead us!

Greg is usually wearing his tie-dyed Bluegrass Express patch jacket and is pretty easy to spot up in the Goat Corral.

Laura will be close by ready for a hug and a big smile!

We love this community, we love you! So if you see us, please come say "Hey Now!" and grab a sticker from us!

We love documenting the community, the love, the music, and the inspiration we find along the road.

If we meet you on lot or in the line, there’s a good chance you’ll end up in a vlog or a log entry.

Always feel free to share your story with us!
